India is a photographers dream. It can be overwhelming at first but the color, excitement and constant visual stimulation become addictive.
My first visit was in 1975 and I have returned multiple times and crossed the length and breadth of Rajasthan on assignment for magazines ranging from National Geographic to International Wildlife each time discovering exceptional new material. I’m particularly excited by this itinerary. Rajasthan is the most colorful state in the country and it’s so easy to make good photographs but we are going to make great ones.
Pushkar Fair is a wonderful bonus. This will be my 3rd visit to the fair and I can’t wait. Imagine thousands of brightly turbaned villagers, hundreds of camels and a sea of tents. It’s dusty, noisy, crowded and unbelievably photogenic. Imagine walking through the camps at dawn with groups of villagers clustered around campfires with their camels tethered in the background. It is truly the experience of a lifetime.

The single supplement is $1450.
“A deposit of $1000.00 will secure a place on the trip with the balance due 120 days before departure. Refundable deposit minus $200 admin fee if you need to cancel before 90 days of departure, no deposit refund less than 90 days before departure.”
Side Trip:
Varanasi is the the most holy city in India and to experience the city from the River Ganges at dawn is incomparable. Thousands of pilgrims make their way to bathe in the holy waters every day and for a lone traveler this can all be intimidating. We plan to take a very small group to experience this with a local guide in complete safety.
Maximum 5 participants: $1250 including return air from Delhi and all meals.
