Lumaria Workshops exists for those who want to travel with intention and create images with meaning.

We lead small-group photographic journeys for people who are drawn to visual storytelling — photographers and creatives who want more than a sightseeing trip. Our workshops are immersive, culturally rooted experiences designed to deepen how you see, how you connect, and how you translate a place into photographs that live beyond the screen.

We believe in slow travel and deep seeing.

The best photographs rarely come from rushing. They come from staying long enough for a place to reveal itself.  In morning light on a stone street, in the quiet before a market opens, in the conversation that becomes a doorway. We build our itineraries with space: to wander, to return, to shoot again, to notice what you missed the first time.

We are not interested in extracting images. We are interested in earning them, through respect, curiosity, and the humility to listen. We value cultural context as much as composition, and we aim to travel in ways that are thoughtful, ethical, and reciprocal.

We teach in the field, in real light, with real moments and by offering plenty of individual attention, guidance, and encouragement so you can grow in confidence and craft.

Lumaria is intentionally intimate. We keep our groups small so the experience stays  supportive and personal. We want you to feel cared for, not managed. Seen, not herded. Part of a circle, not a crowd.

After each journey, we create a custom photo book — a curated collection of each participant’s strongest images — so the work you make together becomes a tangible record: a shared story, held in print, worthy of the experience that created it.
